FordPH hits record sales in August

Ford Philippines today announced a record August performance with retail sales rising 12 percent year-over-year to 3,166 vehicles, driven by the Ranger, Everest, and EcoSport.

“Our biggest-selling nameplates continued to drive our momentum in August,” said Bertrand Lessard, managing director, Ford Philippines. “We’re looking to close the third quarter strong, while we continue to work with our dealers to further enhance the overall customer experience.”

The Ranger led the record August with retail sales surging 65 percent from a year ago to 1,038 vehicles. Year-to-date sales for Ranger – the country’s second best-selling pick-up truck – have increased 24 percent to 6,550 vehicles.

The ‘Built Ford Tough’ Ranger is available in a range of 15 variants in the Philippines.

The Everest mid-size SUV delivered August sales that rose 18 percent year-on-year to 1,027 vehicles, pushing its year-to-date sales up to 7,797 vehicles.

Engineered for the extraordinary, the Everest redefines consumer expectations for a mid-size SUV with its bold design and refined interior, off-road capability and on-road comfort.

The EcoSport compact SUV remained one of Ford’s best-selling vehicles in August with retail sales growing by 8 percent from previous year with 921 vehicles, helping drive its year-to-date sales up 15 percent to 7,013 vehicles.

Ford’s North American-built models also contributed to the August performance. The premium Explorer SUV saw sales grow 16 percent from a year ago to 88 vehicles, pushing its year-to-date sales up 4 percent to 724 vehicles. The Mustang sports car delivered sales of 34 vehicles, boosting its year-to-date sales up 24 percent to 256 units.
